How long does it take to paint my home’s exterior?

The time frame depends on the size and complexity of your project. For most homes, we can complete the job in about 5-7 days. Single walls or smaller projects can often be finished in just a day or two.

Is there a warranty on your exterior painting?

Yes! We provide a 2-year warranty on all our exterior painting work. This means you’re covered if any issues come up after the job is done.

Who manages the project?

Your project will be handled by our expert team of painters, with our founder, Jared, personally overseeing each step to ensure top-notch quality.

Do I need to prepare the space before you paint my exterior?

We’ll handle most of the preparation. You just need to move small, fragile items and valuables. We’ll take care of setting up and moving larger items like outdoor furniture and decor.

A fresh coat of exterior paint is one of the fastest and easiest ways to bring back your home’s curb appeal.

New Direction Painting: Your Team for Exterior Painting

We’ve painted a lot of homes around Middle Tennessee, and Belle Meade properties tend to have their own personality. Tall trim, older brick, mature landscaping that needs protecting while we work. It’s a job that needs proper planning for that from the first walkthrough.

Owner Jared and the team have been doing this work in Middle Tennessee for over a decade, and it shows in how we prep a surface before a drop of paint ever goes on.

Every project runs through our own in-house crew. No subcontractors showing up in a truck you’ve never seen before, no guesswork about who’s actually on your roof or ladder.

We also treat your property like we’d treat our own. That means real protection around your landscaping, windows, and walkways, and a cleanup that doesn’t leave you picking paint chips out of the flower beds.

If you’d rather talk it through than read about it, our contact page here gets you a real person, not a form that disappears into a queue.

What Belle Meade Homeowners Say About Our Painting Crew

Nothing we write here matters as much as what the people whose homes we’ve actually painted have to say. Here’s a look at their experience with us.

Jared and his crew are very professional, on- time. Easy to work with– very responsive which to me is important. Gave me exactly what I was looking for. I am so happy with the results of my paint job on my house and so are my neighbors!

I highly recommend them for any painting project you have in your home!

It was absolutely great job by New Direction. They finished in 2 days . The house looks like a brand new house. Would definitely recommend anyone to get your house painted by these guys.

What Does Exterior Painting Actually Cost in Belle Meade, TN?

For a single-story home, exterior painting in Belle Meade generally runs $3,000 to $4,000. That covers the siding, trim, and woodwork, though larger or more detailed homes in the area can run higher.

Every home is a little different. The only way to know your real number is to have us walk your property. Reach out, and we’ll get you an accurate quote.

A few things that move the price:

Home size and stories: More square footage and a second or third story mean more surface area, more time, and more equipment.
Surface condition: Peeling paint, rotting trim, or bare wood needs extra prep before a single coat goes on, and that prep is where a good paint job actually starts.
Paint quality: We use industry-leading brands, and premium paint costs more upfront but holds its color and finish far longer against Tennessee heat and humidity.
Trim, brick, and detail work: Ornate trim, shutters, brick accents, or a soffit and fascia repaint all add labor beyond a straightforward siding job.
Color changes: Going from a dark color to a light one, or the reverse, often needs an extra coat to get full, even coverage.

Budget and Timeline, Handled Right

We know two things weigh on every homeowner before a project starts: what it’ll cost and how long it’ll take. We build every quote and every schedule around both, so you’re never left wondering.

Budget

A full exterior repaint is a meaningful investment. But spread across the years, the cost per month is much smaller than it looks on the estimate. It also pays you back in curb appeal and protection against Nashville’s weather.

Timeline

Most exterior repaints move faster than homeowners expect once prep is done, and weather is really the only variable. We give you a real start date, we show up when we say we will, and we leave your property clean at the end of each workday.

We handle the prep and the cleanup, so your only job is picking a color you love.

FAQs About Exterior Painting in Belle Meade, TN

What's the best time of year to paint a house exterior in Belle Meade?

Spring and fall tend to work best. Nashville’s summer humidity can affect how paint cures, and winter cold snaps aren’t ideal either. We’ll check the forecast and your home’s specific conditions before we lock in a start date, so the paint has the right window to cure properly.

Do you paint brick homes?

Yes, we do. Brick needs different prep than siding, including the right primer and breathable paint so moisture can still escape the masonry. We’ll walk you through what that looks like for your specific home before we start.

Will you match my existing color, or help me pick something new?

We can do both. If you love your current color, we’ll match it precisely. If you’re ready for a change, we offer a free color consultation to help you choose something that suits your home’s style and the neighborhood around it.

How long does exterior paint typically last?

With proper prep and quality paint, most exteriors hold up well for 7-10 years before they need attention again. Sun exposure, tree cover, and how the home faces the weather all play a role. Our 2-year warranty backs the workmanship behind every job we do.

Belle Meade grew out of a 19th-century thoroughbred farm, and that history is still on full display at Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery, where the original Greek Revival mansion and grounds draw visitors from across the region. Just up the road, Percy Warner Park offers miles of wooded trails and the stone Allée at its historic entrance. Between the two, it’s easy to see why homeowners here take pride in keeping their properties looking just as sharp, and why exterior painting in Belle Meade, TN tends to matter more than it might elsewhere.
